How can I help?
Parenting is time sensitive.
What happens during pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, the infant year, and childhood can impact our children and our families for life. Yet it can be hard to get needed support during this critical time. Extended family systems often can’t offer it, cultural messages can be unhelpful, parents are often physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted, and parents and children suffer. But it doesn’t need to be this way!
If you…
Are in the midst of a stressful pregnancy or parenting stretch
Feel exhausted or lost in any aspect of parenting
Feel consistent worry, fear, or anxiety, or see this in your child
Are struggling with your child’s meltdowns, tantrums, or behavior
Notice that you or your child becomes overwhelmed, easily frustrated, or withdraws
Recognize that you have a highly sensitive child or are highly sensitive, yourself
Have tried emotionally supportive parenting strategies, but they’re not working
Had a less than desirable relationship with your parents during your childhood and want to break free from toxic family patterns
Want to invest into creating healthy, balanced, life-affirming, and joyful dynamics with your family
…then we may be a fit for working together.
Who is this for?
Coaching is for people who…
Have parenting goals or aspirations. Going with the flow is great, and we need flexibility in parenting, but if you zoom out, what is it you want to impart to your children? What do you want them to learn from you? Remember most about you? Remember most about their childhood? What do you want to model for them? What life lessons do you want to help them uncover?
Want to prioritize their journey and role as parents. The research confirms what we know: parents are extremely influential on children. We shape our children not just in the big choices, but also in simply how we move through daily life. Clarifying what is most important to you (and everyone’s priorities are different) in parenting can greatly increase the odds that you give what you want to give.
Want to feel on purpose and on course. Parenting will always require attention, energy, focus, and presence, and having a road map, plus tools to handle various situations, can greatly increase the quality of which you’re able to give these things. When parents know their priorities in parenting, understand the deeper dynamics at play, and have tools that actually work, they feel much more steady. They’re confident they’re going in the right direction, even during bumpy seasons or moments (and kids feel this!).
Are willing to look at themselves and how their actions impact partners and children. If we want to help our children learn and grow, and it we want to model healthy living, we have to be willing to explore ourselves, take responsibility for our mistakes, be open to new ways of looking at things, and be willing to try new things or change.
How does it work?
Book a complimentary 20 minute call to make sure we will be a good fit for working together.
This is an opportunity to make sure I specialize in what you need, ask any Qs, and sense how you feel talking to me.
This gives me the chance to make sure I can help with your specific situation. If you’re facing issues outside of my area of expertise, I will tell you.
After the initial call, I’ll send you the link to my calendar.
In our first session, we’ll discuss background information and dive into the current problems. By the end of this session, you’ll have tools tailored to your specific family situation that you can begin using right away.
In following sessions, we’ll clarify goals and develop an individualized path toward getting there that works with your and your child’s natural strengths, temperament, and life situations.
Weekly sessions give you support in real time.
We work together in real time. I’ll give you new things to try, we’ll discuss, you can try them, and we’ll debrief. We’ll keep adjusting as we learn what works best to bring relief and a healthy balance into your family relationships. You’ll have my support you as you implement these changes into real life.
You have access to me in between sessions. I’ll check in throughout the week and will be available if you want to share how it’s going. You can message me as needed, and I’ll respond.
I offer help and support as you explore what’s underneath the dynamics, your own thoughts and biases, and take micro or macro steps toward the bigger goals.
*Sessions take place virtually on Zoom. If you are in AZ and want to meet in person, please contact me to discuss.

““I absolutely recommend working with Sarah. She has provided me with so many tools and ideas that have helped make me a better parent. My kids are happier, my husband and I are happier and we also don’t feel as stressed all the time.
She is able to give you ideas on different ways to handle situations, and also dive into the reasons certain situations have come up in the first place. She really gets to the bottom of any issue and gives you tools to handle it early on. I loved that she was always positive and supportive.
She never made me feel like I was doing something wrong, but always gently suggested alternative ways of handing situations. She was able to open my mind to different ways of parenting that have been very beneficial to our family.””
“My wife and I sought out Sarah for guidance with our eldest daughter. While not medically diagnosed, we knew she was extremely sensitive and displayed characteristics of being an HSC. I immediately knew I would like Sarah. Walking into her office was very calming and the overall atmosphere was stress-free.
Empowered is the one word that comes to mind when reflecting on our sessions with Sarah. She gave us ideas and duplicatable techniques to use every day, as needed.
At no time did I feel like we were bad parents or had done something wrong, and Sarah’s continued reinforcement and encouragement has helped tremendously. I am very grateful for the time spent with her and highly recommend her.”
